Default How expensive!?

I've just made a consultation for Bowser, my Bearded Dragon, and the check up alone is £30, let alone any medication he might need...

Is that the usual price or am I being joked out of money?

Its not a problem if it is, i'll pay it happily, but it just seems ALOT just for him to be seen...

Hm...

Sounds about right to me to, mine charges around £20 for a consultation (but I can take more than one rep on the same consultation if needs be), another I use rarely charges £35.... when they give any medication, its usually cheap as the medication is in small quantities.

Its about right. just dont be taken for a ride with unecessary exploratories and over night stays. Try to find an independant Vet rather than a chain.
Independants tend to be cheaper and less commercial from the profit maximisation point of view.
Insurance is also a good idea.

Yea, I was thinking about getting insurance on him, how much would that cost roughly?

Its fair enough, i'm willing to pay it, I was just shocked. Lol

I'm gonna try and get hold of a man called Bruce, in Andover, and hopefully he'll be able to do it as he completely specialises in reptiles, where as my vet just knows a bit about them... Hm...
