Default Is it easy to find wild lizards in Ireland

Compared to here in England, is it easier to find more herps in Ireland or is it about the same as here?

I was in Derrynane Co. Kerry once, and I found a gecko basking in the sun outside the cottage we were staying in

As far as I am aware the only reptile you will find in Ireland is the viviparous or common lizard.

think they only have commen lizard and slow worm there. if you look for decent habitat you might find them, dont think they'll be any harder to find than here.

Ireland basically has the same climate and temperatures are the U.K! I've seen a few lizards basking here in the mountains, not too sure what they were though.

common lizards live in mountainous damp regions as high as 3000 metres (ie the alps), swamps, rice fields, brooks and damp forests. Also known to be in drier areas like rocky areas, roadsides. pretty much anywhere lol

I should have said this is the only native species.
