Default Bearded Dragon Morphs

Hi, I am new to keeping Beardies, have just bought three baby females. (1x Orange Flame and 2x Clear Nailed Hypo Pastels). I want to try and understand the genetics, I have previously had Royal Python Morphs. Can anyone explain BD Genetics e.g Recessive/Dominant/Co-Dominant traits and how it all works.

Id like to breed mine at some point in the future and want to get an idea of what males to get/what they would produce.

Thanks for your help

Where were the dragons from? The breeder would probably be the best person to speak to with regards to that, as they should know the background of the dragon.

Some morphs are "simple" and only involve a single locus (the dominant, co-dom and recessive ones) and others are much more complex because they involve several loci. The more complex ones are much harder to predict the results from, but the breeder you got yours from should be able to give you a better idea of which / if any "simple" genes your beardies may be expressing or carrying as hets.

The dragons are form monkfish2uk.

Their parents are as follows:

The hypo pastels ( Both have clear nails): Mother Leucistic x Father Hypo Pastel

The orange flame: Mother Leucistic Hypo Red x Orange Flame

cheers

Mike
