Question Chameleon seasonal eating patterns

Hi everyone i posted over the weekend how my male yemens chameleon has gone off his food.many people said it was seasonal.I was just wondering how many peoples chams were of there food and how long it can last for before i need to worry. Also if they lose weight during this time.Mine is only just over 4monthes old now so want to keep him healthy. My female is eating fine though so any help with this would be great.

at 4 months old the seasons shouldnt effect his eating.
by rights at his age he should be eating everyday.

what enclosure is he in?

mine is 5 months and i put it down to him having just shed but, it's been a week today that he hasn't ate anything except the occasional waxie. I'm trying not to give in to these i just worry. He still has a large fat reserve at the base of his tail and i have ordered some reptoboost to try get him back on track.i'm leaving locusts in his enclosure hoping they will tempt him but he just walks over them.
My daughter who has been visiting for the past week is having the same trouble with her leo so we seem to be obsessing with will they/wont they eat today!

In my experience with chams they prefer a varied diet, and if offered the same food at every feeding they will appear to get very 'fussy', if your feeding him locusts try big crickets or roaches, as a treat you could find him some other foods like flies/moths which don't necessarily add a huge nutritional value but will keep his variety and interest levels up. All except mine, who will only eat one type of prey item at a time for months, then suddenly change his mind. Currently he is - amazingly - eating both mealworms and locusts - but only a maximum of 2 locusts every other day. I thought this week I was getting somewhere with the roaches - offering 1 per sitting, only to find 4 under the plant pot this morning. Grrr.
