Default WARNING reptile shop..... REPTILE NEGLECT!

This is on behalf of a friend, I've not been to the shop myself.

A leo has been bought from an aquatics and reptile shop in chesterfield for £40, as they would not take any less for it.

Some of the reptiles in there are ok, but according to this person some are in just as bad condition.

It's 4 months old and weighs 6g.

Unlike the people who bought this leo, please do not buy any animals that you see in a bad state, as this will only promote the place you are buying them from into carrying on with bad methods.

Anyone that can please take a trip down their to asses the state of the animals there.

If it is proven that this shop does not have bad care, I will be happy to retract this thread and apologise publically.

I've recommended they report them but the more people that do so, the more the local council is likely to get off their arse and do something about it.

I have bought alot from there and they are not the best reptile shop around by a long shot, but their animals are in good health, at least the reps i've bought, even if they arnt this isnt the point.

That one post could cost them 100s, maybe 1000s, and you havnt even seen it yourself.

To post instructing people not to buy from somewhere is serious, and 'saedcantas' is right... this isnt going to go too well.

To post speculating that a named shop is knowingly selling animals with a serious condition such as Crypto without any evidence, is just bad news and this will be edited soon.

I do have a picture of the leo as proof of its condition, but am waiting permission from them to post it, as for mentioning crypto that was my own fear that it had it, not proof.

to answer someones questions, they bought it to rescue it from the shop.

I have edited my original post and will be happy to make a public apology if this thread is proven to have incorrect or insuficient evidence.
