Easiest way is to watch him change colour, the darker he gets the colder he is, if you feel he's getting too cold put him back in the viv to warm up.

Its very different for juvies and adults. Juvies as short as 5/10 minutes, adult much longer.

As said above colour change/cold to the touch is best method.

i leave the viv door open on the cool end... as soon as he starts getting cold he just climbs back into his viv if he's wandering round... if he's in the bed he tends to climb under the covers and lay on my chest where its warm anyway and has his head poking out the top of the duvet lol

For babies I wouldn't keep them out for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Adults would be fine for 30 minutes, perhaps even an hour. Just make sure you don't get them out for long enough to get cold just after they've eaten, and that you give them time to warm up again before you feed them.

Mine roam to suit themselves.
Adults that is.
One side of the viv I leave open and they jump in and out.
My heating is always blasting and its like a sauna in my house - a few people off this forum have been and will tell you that lol

I only let them roam if Im in the room though.

Ive never had any problem with them and the beardies go in the viv if they want to - which they sometimes do - but a lot of the time like racing around
