Default convince me to get a leo!

hi, i have a 2x2x2 viv and thinking of getting a leo. just want some info from people who have them.

firstly what heating equip do they need, is it a mat or an above heat source?

secondly, what are they like temprement wise, i mean... i know they are nice and tame but what is it about them that makes them so popular? what things do they do that make them so sweet? i have seen the eye lick which is adorable lol. i have read care sheets but as many of you know, its always best to ask an actual person, many care sheets talk about heat but i want to know what the best way to provide that heat is?

any other info would be great, i am experienced with reptiles, but not specifically with leos, they are just so cute and iv been tempted for a while.

they will need a heat mat, no lighting required but can be for decorative. they are very tame when you keep bring them out and handling them, yes the licking eye is cute lol.. well i have 5 leopard gecko myself and they are very very easy to keep... always friendly when handled lots of times like once a day or twice a day. they are one of the most popular reps that people have as they are easy to keep.

hope that convinces u

Heat mat under one half (ish) of the viv. Light to regulate night/day. Bosh that's it regarding heat.

My Leo is the friendliest little lizard, I can't ever imagine him being aggressive or biting. He's great to watch skulking around his viv and loves to climb. He also sleeps like he's passed out drunk.

Downsides? Nocturnal and not always super active.

well i got loads of decor spare from when my beardie was little and loads of plants and stuff that iv collected up, will have to buy a heatmat a stat and a few hides, got water bowls and logs and stuff and the viv, so might actually get one!!

if i were to get a baby what would you guys reccommend putting the baby in? is it ok to go in the 2x2 viv or would a rub be better till its a bit bigger and more confident?

that downside for you, is a plus point for me, my beardie is an attention seeking lunatic, so would be nice to have one that doesnt mind being left alone thru the day when am out or doesnt mind if i dont handle it one day, my beardie needs to be out of her viv 3 times a day, shes so hyper and always up at the glass to get out lol, so yeah, a more calm rep would be nice too, watch me get a super hyper mad leo too lol. not that i mind its what makes me love my beardie so much, but lets say i couldnt have 2 of them!

a 2x2 would be fine as long as you provide plenty of places to side, really pack the floor out so there's very little in open space, and it should feel secure and safe.
