Wouldn`t trust a plant propagator in a million years mate - they barely hold the temps steady enough for my seedlings, never mind precious eggs! Also, they`re really hard to hit the higher temps!
Have you read the sticky in the breeding section about how to set up a homemade incubator properly? You`ve basically got everything that you need already.

hovabators are ok as long as they are in a really temp stable room, we used 2 last yr, but have now converted a broken wine cooler and its awesome!! really stable temps, separated into 2 sections and it has 2 glass doors. incubate males one side females the other. looks good too!

You can get them on ebay for about £40 - £50 and you have everything else already.

for what you get and what it costs buy one.
A good one with cooling as well as heatiing (should by any chance we get a good summer)
fanned circulation and great temp control for about £120.00

Then look at the cost of a homemade one.

Mat £20
dimmer stat £50
hygrometer and thermometer £10
other bits and bobs £10.00

Then look at the number of eggs a home made one will cater for.

This one is like a small fridge and I have had one for two years without a problem. It holds 50-60 eggs no problem.

£120.00 at my shop. Not £139.99 as on this link.
