Talking Microclimate B1ME Question

Hi I currently have a Microclimate B1ME Stat, which I know is a dimmer stat (& the B2ME is the pulse model), my question is if I were to change to a ceramic heater set up using thje B1, would it work ok and what would the downside be for using the B1 ?

I don't really want to go & buy a B2ME, when I have a perfectly good B1 sitin there, I've looked through posts/threads etc, but I've not been able to find the answer to my questions..so hopefully someone out there can help me out...Thankx..
