Question Bearded dragon - eating enough?

I got my first beardy on Sunday and i'm not sure that he is eating enough.
i put 10 crickets in the viv yesterday morning, but when i checked on him early evening there still seemed to be 4 or 5 still in the tank. He has a basil plant in there that he seems to have the occasional munch on and we put a few leafy greens in and he had taken a few munches of this, but again, didn't seem to eat a lot. We took most of the crickets out last night, but there were a couple stuck in a log which we left in just in case he decided to eat more and this morning I put another 10 in. I put them in the fridge first to slow them down a bit in case he was just having trouble catching them, but he only had 1 before resuming basking. Having checked on him again recently, there still seems to be about 6 visible crickets in there. From what the reptile shop were telling us when we got him, he should be eating about 20 crickets a day and he doesn't seem to be eating anywhere near that. I know it's only been a few days but I'm just not sure if this is normal after getting one - could he just be a little stressed and getting used to being in a new home? Or do you think there may be something wrong with him? He's about 3-4 months old.
Any help much appreciated.

as you only got him on sunday, he will probably be settlingin to his new surroundings so i wouldnt be worried one bit for a week or 2.

then once he is settled he shoudl start to pick up the eating, but trust me when they start they generally dont stop eating

hes still probably settling in. At least hes basking and not all beardies eat 20 a day. And depending on the age, they shouldn't be given then daily . Don't worry all are different some take longer to settle than others

i wouldn't advise leaving crix in... have you tried locust? may be bored of crix? mine wont touch crix but put 10 locust in there and within less than a minute they're gone

We haven't tried anything other than crickets and a bit leafy veg. The pet shop gave us the same ones that they had been feeding him. I'm popping back to the shop on Thursday so I will ask if there are any locusts that he could maybe try. Thanks

Probably getting used to new surroundings..

If he/she only eats 5/10 then aim to give her that amount next time you feed her
