Default Sheffield Pets At Home Got Reptiles...

Just been into my local Pets at home and noticed they had reps at the back, needless to say i was angry to see lots of 5 year old girls asking for a pet dragon..

So I decided to go look at what the prices where like, £100 for a normal Baby beardie? Thats stupid, there normal leos where £35 which seemed ok, and they also had Hermans for £150 , and then they had lots of Exo terra tanks and bulbs etc. still no food whatsoever..

Good job though Pets at home, couldn't look after stick insects so you got reptiles, well done.

1 - why did you get angry because they were asking for one? unless they were asking you to buy it them.

2 - what morph were the baby beardies?

3 - stick insects are crap anyway but they might have reptiles in because they have somebody with the ability to help who knows about them; unlikely but possible.

Unfortunately, at the end of the day, Pets At Home are a pet shop and reptiles are pets so it's their business to sell them.

The Pets at Home in Milton Keynes are selling beardies too, and theyre selling them in 18 x 18 x 18 exo terra glass vivs and claiming they can stay in them for life and recommend up to 2 of these are ok in it.

Me I think they should be shut down, they know naff all about them, 2 beardies in a exo viv

I haven't ever see a pet shop, even exotic specialised pet shop sell normal beardies for less than £60 to be honest. Pet shop prices can't compare to private breeder prices.

But at least if you went to a specialised exotic pet shop you'd be able to ask questions and get advice from somone who really knows their stuff........ whereas at pets at home you'd probably get "errm.... errm..... i dunno".
