Default Help with leo breeding morphs

I've just seen a post about a patternless and albino together will produce normals. personally i can't get my head round morphs and would like to know if the quad i have will produce nice babys. so if any one could help i would appreciate it. i have been thinking of getting another quad so any suggestions would be great

Ive got an Tremper Albino male and female, a tangerine reverse stripe albino poss giant poss het eclipse (i think) and a female murphy patternless (all pics r in my signature)

Im pressuming your on about the post i made :P

Breeding two incompatible ressesives together will only produce normals seen as the gecko needs a gene passed from each parent to be a phenotype (visual) for that gene.

Tremper x Reverse stripe albino (assuming tremper) het eclipse
100% Tremper albinos with varying tangerine and varying patterning
All poss het eclipse and if the female proves to be giant 50% chance of the offspring being giant.

Tremper x Patternless
100% Normals het Tremper and Patternless.

Hope it helps

best thing for the patternless is to get another patternless or het patternless, otherwise you will only get normals

The good thing about pairing incompatible genes though is that when bred together they will give you a double visual.

Albino x Blizzard - All normals 100% het Albino and Blizzard.

Normal 100% het Albino and Blizzard x Normal 100% het Albino and Blizzard - Blazing Blizzards.

The more visuals you have in a morph the higher the value as you have had to put the extra time and effort in and breed them, an Albino will be cheaper than a Patternless Albino and a Patternless Albino Blizzard will be more expensive than them both.

You just need to decide if you want quick returns or are willing to invest in longer term projects.

depends what morphs you like?

you could get a mack snow het patternless and you`d produce to your patternless = mack snow patternless, mack snows, normals het patternless.

maybe it would help to write a list of which morphs are dominant ( normal) co-dom ( mack snow ) recessive ( blizzard, albino ) and line-bred, and try to get your head around it from that direction?

or you could always post your patternless to me..........i have a mack snow het patternless who`d love to meet her, lol

co-dom`s ( mack snows ) are great, cause to

1) a normal you`ll get half normal, half mack snow.

2) two mack snows together will give a mix of normal, mack snow and a few with two copies of the snow gene to give you supersnows

3) supersnow to normal = macksnow

and you can start to put other colours through like tremper to make mack snow albinos

or patternless snow albinos..............the permutations are endless!
