Default Yawn.........

Do all reptiles yawn ?

and is it for the same reasons that we do ?

I know that with his viv right next to my computer and my inability to sleep at night , I have seen him wake up in the middle of the night a few times, so I think its the same kinda thing.

They are sleepy and yawn it off.

seen the cresty yawn and the snakes thats about it.

Well we yawn to get more oxygen do we not? cause our O2 levels drop when we yawn. surely its the same for our reps lol

wit my snakes i put it down to them clicking ther jaw back together after meals 'probably not true but i think about things too much lol'! cant think of why my lizards would yawn id like to think its cos ther tired but i dunno if it is

I'm not sure i'd count this as "yawning" but thats getting technical
thats more like us stretching after a workout... they're sorta keeping their mouth open but not really yawning.
My leos yawn quite a lot, and my tortoise. its cute

Snakes do it to realign their jaws, as for other reptiles, probably just the same as humans. Plenty of other animals do it to so I can't see why they'd be different.

if Echos curious about a noise in the daytime, she wakes up, crawls out of her hide, and stares through the glass. then she just looks bored, yawns and goes back. so i think my leo yawns out of boredom/tiredness :p it's cute
