Default Housing your bearded dragon hatchlings??

Hi everyone. I have about 20 baby dragons hatching in the next couple of months and i wondered if you could post me pictures of how you house your babies.. I have a spare 3 foot viv all kitted out but this time i was thinking of setting up some baby dragon bins to split them into groups.

All pictures and your info welcome. Just trying to make sure i have no nips or fighting.

Thanx everyone

I use a similar style to the ones in that link, but with mesh tops to the cages. If you're trying to use anything smaller than a 3' setup, it's a great idea to have it mesh topped to help you get the temperature gradient set up.

I wouldn't house more than 5 babies to a setup - it makes it a lot harder to spot problems (being unusually quiet, not eating etc) if there are loads of them in there together, and they're more likely to mutilate each other by confusing one another with food...

I had 21 babies and used two 4ft vivs. I had lots of branches in as I found they all liked to be up at the top and climbing about

Yeah i have 19 babies incubating and was going to house 9 babies in a 3 foot viv kitted out as normal with my heat spot raised a little and have 2 beardie bins with mesh lids with 5 in each, a reptisun uv layed across the top and a heat spot in them both and keep it simple like in the link with just a stone and food pot in there. looks good to me. Only problem is, she is looking gravid again. Better get some more bins!!!

You might want to get another bin and only put 5 in the viv - the more babies you have to a cage the higher the chances of them nipping each other, and the harder it is to spot if one isn't eating or is being bullied...
