Don't worry it is natural for slow worms to bury themselves for ages. Not sure about the viviparous lizard though, but I don't think it'll die or it wouldn't have buried itself in the first place.

I don't want to make you sound stupid but do you have any hiding areas in there? they might have buried themselves because they have nowhere else to hide.

Hope this helped.

Just looked back at your name. Hi benny93. I remember you from the other post about slow worms (=

Your best bet is making sure they have plenty of places to hide. If they dont then it is probabbly why they are digging and hidding.
Good Luck
Dave

Default hiding places

they do have hiding places but they for somereason just burrow underneath maybe there just keeping warm or something i put a spider in and the lizard dives out of the conpost and ate it finnally very cool i never see the slowworms eat really thoa but they have been in captivity over 2 weeks so do you think they must be eating something or not.

well they are nocturnal so you might not see them eat, but they are also quite slow movers. There is a chance that when you put food in, the viviparous lizard beats them to it. If you're that worried, get some scales and weigh them regularly.
