Default wanting to get a BTS

i'm looking for a BTS in my country, i really liked them and want to know their care.
anyone knows?

how big is the tank? i'm planning to make a tank for it with slide glass, it's probably 42 gallon or a bit more, is that enough?

do they shed? how is the shed and the sign?
how many times per week should i feed them? or everyday?
does it needs something important?

any other info is appreciated. thank you.

I keep them - and have two of the Indonesian species, Tiliqua gigas as well as one island species, Tiliqua scincoides chimaerea.

Because the former are *very* large for Bluetongues (my adult would be nearly two and a half feet long if he had his full tail; it was bitten off about halfway down when he was a baby, before we got him) they need quite a large cage.

I personally would not house an adult T. gigas in anything smaller than a 4 foot by 18 inch by 18 inch cage.

If you have one of the smaller species - like T. s. chimaerea - then a smaller cage will do; our little female Tanimbar will be moving into a 36X18X18 cage shortly.

i've heard that they're differentiated by their native islands, i live in indonesia but i don't know though. i'm thingking of getting a 90x45, but if that's too small.. maybe i'll look for somethin bigger. it's a juvenile gigas i'm getting i think. what 2.5 feet?
that's huge!!
the biggest i've seen just a bit more than 2 feet

Pretty sure mine are gigas gigas, not Merauke or Kei Island.

i just got one. it's quite docile and greatly accept hand feeding in this first day. he/she chomped up 6 crickets and a half of banana!!
but it dropped because my sister's mistake, she tried handling it, and because of the sharp claws, she dropped it from 1 meter high. it's still moving normally, i'm afraid there's something bad happening to him i don't know, but will it be ok?
