Default Vet Charges

Just wondering what a ball park figure for a consultation with a Herp Vet normally is. Had by beardie for about 4 weeks and just thought I would get him looked over to ensure everything is ok (seeing as how I'm no expert). Found a herp vet near me who charges £42.50 for a consultation. Seemed a bit steep but I've got no point of reference to guage it by.

mine was £25 and I ended up with a £250 bill for nothing, please don't doubt yourself if you think your apparant specialist herp vet doesn't seem up together and go elsewhere.
