Crested viv build

im buildin a viv for my crested gecko that i will be gettin. Will the viv need some sort of ventilation ie mesh roof. air vents- (will be having a background that would cover the vents) Please let me no as i will be building it tomorrow.

If you're making a glass terrarium, use mesh lid; for wooden terrarium, air vents or mesh panel along sides of viv (cause of background)-Correct me if I'm wrong
