Please don't. It looks terrible and where in their natural habitat do you see kitchen roll on the ground? The whole point of a vivarium is to mimick the natural surroundings of the creature kept inside, not to throw together some cheapass ugly setup and put a poor crestie inside it

I just use kitchen roll, not expensive at all, and not a great loss to the Cresties as they are semi-arboreal, also i like it because i can keep tabs on poo and i dont have to worry about then accidently gobbiling up substate when hunting!

a great care sheet can be found at: Pangea Reptile Crested Gecko Care

Each to their own and that jazz, my Cresties are happy and healthy on kitchen roll so i will continue to use it
It is inexpensive but i use it for peace of mind more than anything

All my cresties are fine and healthy on kitchen roll. Most breeders of cresties all use kitchen roll. I do too. This is because trying to find two tiny eggs buried somewhere deep in 18" squared floor space of substrate is very hard without rolling or damaging the eggs. Its hard enough to find them without damaging them in a laying box.

Hi, go for eco earth, it will become bio active, and so help to keep it clean,

You can of course go down the kitchen paper route, but I can not, and never will understand the mentality of people who take an animal from a beautiful landscape, and stick it in a box with paper and tiles

Good luck

Jay

P.S. might see you in Portsmouth, do you now how far from the port the show is?

I use kitchen roll for safety and ease in finding eggs. Also its easier to monitor young cresties pooing ect. I still try to make the vivs look natural with plenty of vines and branches and plants and fake plants. I use eco earth with my day gecko, I just use kitchen roll with my cresties

That imply's my set ups are ugly and suboptimal, and my cresties arn't 'happy' in them. These are things you dont know and you are making alot of assumptions with no evidence to base them on

Ed

P.s Very nice set up jabba . All i'm saying is a set up like that is great for a display, but very awkward for breeding as you would never find the eggs.
