How long is a piece of string? It depends both on the size of the crestie now and its growth rate in future (so is influenced, to some extent, by what you're feeding it).

I would go for a 45 x 45 x 60 for life. 30 x 30 x 45 doesn't give much room to jump or explore at night.

My crestie is in a 30 x 30 x 45 at the moment and is 9 months old (i think). Will be moving him up to 45 x 45 x 60 when my overdraft isn't as bad

Agreed. Personally, I really wouldn't keep an adult crestie in a viv smaller than 45cm x 45cm x 60cm.
