whats everyones ideas on
play sand for a substrate, my bearded dragon has had a few trips to the vets and she could be egg bound I think it might just be because I don't have the correct substrate, if I can't get her to lay the eggs then there is going to have to be a very expensive trip to the vets where by she will have to have her ovaries out and as I am sure you will understand I really don't want to have to take this route.
I am at the moment using grease proof paper as her substrate she went to stay at the pet shop a few weeks ago and she laid 2 eggs so I must be doing something wrong will sand be as detrimental as some people say, I know that it is a up to each person, I just don't want the expensive trip to the vets and need the advice, if not sand what could I use, I do have a box of soil in there but she doesn't seem to like that very much.
What do people think of reptile carpet or does she need something to dig in, she is not pregnant as I don't have a male she is very large too so something needs to be done.
Please help me.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Fiona
