Default Please help im so worried about my bd!!!

My male bd is acting very strangely ive never seen him like this. I have been at work all day he wasnt out first thing this mornin and ive just looked now
he was sat on top of his female companion.
His chin turned very black as i picked him up to see if she was ok . She was. I was worried she was gravid but im quite sure she isnt
he was very frightened runnin away from me n he even hissed
never seen him like this
can some one please shed some light on why he is bein like this??
He is now hidin away
very unhappy chap
please help

I'm no expert but sounds to me like love. She may well lay in the next 3 to 4 weeks. I think the technical phrase for this behaviour is humping!

If you aren't set up for eggs and babies you are probably gonna get slammed for keeping a male and female together.

thanks for the reply but dont think thats it. ive got babies from them at the at the mo.. been happy together for over a year
ive never seen him like this ..summit else?? he stil hidin but calmed abit

That is mating behavior and territorial. Blackbeard, hissing, running and bobbing head(if hes doing that) is that he is territorial. And mating at the same time.

nah ive seem him do that a million times n this is not like him at all ... stil hidin away n she is out now

exactly what i was thinking my male does his also sumtimes and i thought something was up but after the deed was done he was fine again
