Unhappy Leo hatchling HELP

ok just checked on my egg and theres a little head just pokin out its breathing but seems very larthergit like it wasnt movin.

is this normal how long should it take um to get out the egg, i never had this before coz i always found the geckos when they were out and running around.

should i help him out the egg or leave him

leave him be for the moment ~ hatching is very tiring for them plus they also need to learn to breathe and absorb any remaining egg yolk

Ditto. Some come out straight away but others can take a few hours so don't worry yet.

ok i was little shocked really not sure if u read my post below but this little chap is the second egg in that post. so goes to show they were both fertile which is good for next year when i plan on breeding again.

Even if u think its taking a long time, DO NOT HELP IT!
I know this sounds harsh, but hatching is like a test of survival. If they dont have the strength to hatch then they dont have the strength tto survive usually. They need the initial struggle out of the egg to "wake them up" so to speak. If helped out, it's most likely that the hatchling will die, either due to a problem/weakness u cant see, or because its hasn't fully "woken up."

He'll be fine, just leave him to it

I've had six kids and I would still feel exactly the same as you . If and when he hatches leave him in the incubator for an hour or two to recover.
