Default Monitors or tegus :D considering another!

Well, I should hopefully be in my new house by the end of this year, and i would really like another monitor!

I already have a bosc whose taming down SOOOOOOOOOO well, i love my Dave to bits!
I also have an ackie who im still putting work into as he has bad eyesight, going to try the whole T-shirt trick

But I would really love another larger lizard I can free roam!

Size shouldnt be an issue as we should be moving into a big 4+ bedroom house ^^

Any ideas and previous experiences with any would be great

Thanks

1. Do you want aboreal or terrestrial?
2. How much space would you have?
3. Could you deal with a volatile monitor that probably wont ever tame down?

1. I want one thats big and can be free roamed

2. I'm talking about if space isnt an issue. I dont want silly thiings like croc monito and rediculous sized things, im looking at one getting to a MAXIMUM of about 6-7ft

3. I have a grumpy bosc, and a grumpy ackie and had both over a year now. also dealt with white throat monitor at college, fair enough she was tame as anything but still appreciate the animals size and strength (and hunger!)

I know that i deffinately dont want something as grumpy as a nile monitor though lol XD

Hi there, tegu's have great personalities, my big guy is 3/4 has a 8/4/7 corner unit under my tv. Couldnt dream of having vinnie anywhere other than the lounge as hes so sociable...and hes a mummys boy. My two boscs ( 3.5 N 2.5 yrs) eldest a gent, the younger will not tolerate anyone - completely different. The iggy, also a mummys boy, will 'allow' hubby to feed him, but if my 16yr old trainee herp son goes near Asbo has a canary. But iggys are nown for their heirarchy, im Alpha, hubbys Beta n son an omega so hes toast. lol
Then theres the 2/3yr old whitelip python pair or the green tree pythons. Dogs n cats nah
orland likes this.
