Default what damage can no uv do?

Before i get flamed its not something i have done or intend to do. Whats happened is that i sold a 3 month old baby to someone who i was told had a correct set up. I have since found out he is in a tempory viv actually a converted cupboard, but it has no uv and a heat bulb too high wattage that he can get close enough to touch.
I have offered to take him back temporarily as she has a viv with uv tube being collected in a couple of weeks.

I know i should have checked her set up better but she said she had it all sorted and i gave her the benefit of doubt because our first lizard is always learning curve (we were all rep virgins once).

I dont want to judge her or take the baby back permenantly but i incubated the egg and raised him to 3 months and i dont want him to become ill now or get the blame if/when she gets vet bills as i sold him in good health.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Firstly I'm not sure what species you are talking about, and this is pretty important as different species require different amounts of UVB exposure.

One of the main concerns for animals without a source of UV is that they will not be able to absorb calcium, which as you know can lead to a whole host of problems. However supplimentation may have reduced the risks here (depending on the regime used). The best advice would be to check the animal over, if it is presenting symptoms of MBD or other illness, get it straight to the vet and advise them of the husbandry it has been recieving.

i personaly would't let them have it now, if they didn't have the right set up before they got it, whos to say they know enough to look after it correctly?
no uv is risking mbd. keep it until you find someone who knows about reptiles.

she has been told what he needs but all she said was he would have uv in a couple of weeks when the new viv is set up, oh and would he get more calcium from crix of dandilion leaves? i also told her she needs to buy suppliments and add them to his food. i am trying not to be too horrible with her but she doesn't seem to understand how important some details are.

I take it from this that the Dragon has not been recieving correct supplementation either? I would suggest the same as my previous post. Check the dragon over, if it show any signs of illness get it to the vets. Other than that, you should certainly start it off with a correct supplementation regime.
