Default I think he misses his friend

My two cresties started fighting the other week nd so unfortunately i had to sell one.
Since then, the one left behind (looks male i think) has seemed really down. He doesn't move about as much and he's been calling out randomly in the night. Iv had him checked out by the vet nd there's nothing physically wrong it seems.
Could it be he misses his friend? He was kept in the store with 5 others nd then with 1 other in his new tank. The tank is a 45x45x60 nd it doesn't look too big for him but i worry that he's lonely
xx

Uh? Why selling one? Couldn't you just put them in 2 separate tanks?

Actually geckos and other reptiles don't have enough developped brains to "feel" such things. But I am thinking of the possibility there is still the smell of the gecko you sold in the viv, so that is more likely to cause stress, as your crested may look for an "invisible" competitor. How old were they and were you sure than both were not 2 males? It also may happen that a pair or 2 females would not get along with each other, this behaviour is seen quite often in the closely-related leachie giant geckos, and I have read about some cases with cresteds as well
