Talking Live Plants in BD viv

Was thinking of trying to grow some cactus in my BD Viv.

Just wanted to get some opinions on this about the spikes and anything else.

Personally I wouldn't use anything spiky, and make sure that anything you do grow is edible if they decide to eat it...

You can use air plants - ive used these with leopard geckos no problem - and they dont need to be planted

what ever the plant it will need watering so you would have to do that outside of the viv as you would increase the humidity in there which is bad for bearded dragons
there are some realistic plastic cacti in my pet shop which i am thinking of getting

air plants require a 'spray' of air plant food once in a blue moon. when i feed my air plants it doesnt increase the humidity in my viv if thats any help

anything that requires planting may be a different story though...

I tried air plants in with my beardies, they ate them all within two days!! I'd recommend them for leo vivs and any other non omnivorous reptile though!
Cacti could be ok but research the types first!!

That is what I did with one of my leos cages, the plants are Aloe and Hens-and-chickens. I have them potted in peatmoss pots and they are barried beneath the sand, these are good because they only need to be watered a small amount every 2-3 weeks and it does not make added humidity, the plants soak it up pretty quick. These plants are edible.
