Default Can this be kept as a pet?

Can a thorny devil lizard (Moloch) Be kept as a pet? They look awesome! I want one :P They can be held and are very gentle when held.

I have no idea whether they can be kept as pets or not, but they look amazing! Like a ninja throwing star on legs

my friend had 1 about a month ago, the lizard stopped eatin a died,

it is possible to keep them, but its very difficult apparently and they are rare and expensive, plus you can only get captive bred ones, as it is illegal to export wildlife from australia.

i would of thought they were hard to keep, i herd they eat a huge volume of ants each day?

Aparantly there nt available in the uk as australia dont allow shippment. Also they feed on one type of aussie ant and require thousands daily so i highly doubt he had one and don't think there available. wish they were though.

i read on a forum had either one or a pair for 6 years and they fed on crickets just like any other lizard.
