I was planning on starting to cool my velvet geckos a little (save on the winter heating and food bills, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it brumation), except I found an egg in there today so there goes that plan. Looks like it will have to stay summer for a while!

Our torts have started slowing, the room is slightly cooling itself and i'm gradually changing the timer day lengths.

My beardies i'm going to start cooling later in the month, just slightly. But i know last year my female brumated so it figures shes gonna do it this year

Do you have to brumate them? My beardie is slowing down now, sleeping an awful lot...

He's just over a year old now, so I've read thats about when they might start?

How do you do it and is it essential?

Thnks

You need to have a read on brumation at the top of the lizard section. Everything you need to know is on there and it makes a good read

Bug is slowling down so will be brumating again this year. Its nice, lol .... i get to have a holiday
