Preston Pet Centre, I suggest you make some room, here they come!
If you're worried about that many hatchlings, just don't incubate all the eggs. It seems a shame, but it's not as bad as having more babies than you can handle.

I was wondering, has anyone simply left any water dragon eggs as they were layed? all the info i can find states that you take them away for incubation, if conditions were perfect for mating and laying etc etc why not leave them as nature intended?? pardon my lack of knowledge but everyone has to start somewhere..

cheers

I whole heartedly put my time and effort into my lizards as you can tell by my viv I made myself, I honestly thought it would take a long time for them to breed together and was also told she would need to be at least 2 for her to breed and lay, and Thought I'd see some kind of copulation but as I'm at work daily they may have done it then.

I actually calculated, they've been together 4 months, but here we are with unexpected eggs and only took me 30 mins to make an incubator, so I'm not daft or ignorant with them. I'll do everything I can to take the best care of them. At the end of the day it'll help pay for the viv if I can get some money for the hatchlings.

After my mother has one, I know they'll be going to a great home at Preston Pet Centre where the owners are a great asset to the captive reptile world.

I accept I've not been keeping lizards long and am always learning but please don't think I'm being ignorant about it, I always find the best thing to do regardless of cost. Once your an animal-lover, every animal gets treated the same.

Why thank you very much Jay-boy! I will keep a viv spare ready for babies

congratulations on the eggs and you have two beautiful dragons.I leave my eggs in the viv where they are laid as my females have never used a lay box always laid in the bark and they have hatched no problem

this is what i do mate! i havnt got the time/room to house that manu.

i have a deal setup where he incubates/grows on and sells them, i then get frre live and frozen food and also get a good old discount on any equipment i buy, works well for us,

not only do i know they willl end up in decent homes (hes very picky about who he will sell to, wont just sell to some little kid thats asked 'whats the cheapest lizard you sell etc'

also means he doenst have to buy WC dragons!
