Default Cham habitat help needed

Hi there i have a pair of chams and there in a large viv but i have a massive parrot cage and i was wondering if you could give advice in a few areas as it has loads of room for them and also means can use the viv to increase collection.
1- would the parrot cage be ok for them and baby chams if i obviously safe proof it
2- what can i use to cover the cage eg glass, perspex of can i use mesh if i can use mesh whats the best mesh to use
3- can they stay in here 24/7

thanks

Before I say anything... can I see a pic of the cage? It sounds unsuitable and I wouldnt reccomend increasing the collection in just one cage. You really need cages for each individual cham after they are 4 months old.

i think he meant he can use the spare viv to to put more reps in, which could then increase his collection..?

Yeah, I have two females together at the mo, but they are only 10 weeks old.
I personally wouldnt use thte cage for chameleons, although it could work, I would put lots of graden trellis over the bars and probably use it for outside when the wether is hot. I just wouldnt like the fact the crickets could get out so easily!

If you want a big viv, which in my opinion is excellent for the purpose, I would reccommend Zoo meds new repti breeze range, I have four extra large ones and they are really really good!

i thought if i used nylon mesh to the outside that will to the crickets getting out that way and boarded up the bottom, i was only wondering as i have it and dont no what to do wih it as it was my mum and dads for the cuckatoo but they have since mooved to spain and bought a new cage there so left this one here. And is it alright leaving the 2 girls together as when i do split them they do get rather upset lol
thanks
