Talking YAAAAAAY HAPPY HAPPY CHAPPY !!! (tokays :P )

WELLtoday when i walked into my room after being out of it for a while .. when the tokays lights are off for the night ..... i was VERY plesantly suprised to find doris (My female tokay) climbing up the glass

this may sound abit simple but this girl has started me worrying abit as she tends to just stick to staying on the one lil tree and lets Bert (the male) just kinda go where ever and i never really see her going anywhere.

so YAAAAY DORIS :P

do you think bert kinda stops her going .... im rubbish at reading behaviour ... but she tends to not get close to him at all really :S

o now shes gone bk .... o well at least she got a run about :P

o yea heres some pics to show this momentus occasion :P lol (also to show off my LED night lights :P lol )

^^^ SUPERMAN ^^^

Hi

Nice pics and interesting thread, my Tokays are exactly the same!

The male is always out and about, mooching around and generally being active (doesn't really care who's around) but i hardly see my female at all. Only time she's out in full view is if she's really hungry or if all the lights have been off for a while. Soon as the lights come on or i start moving about she's off!

Thought i just had a really shy female but it seems i'm not the only one!

By the way, really like the blue lighting in your tank, are those LED's you're using? Currently use the Night Glo bulbs myself but they don't throw off nearly as much light as that!? Looks good!

Haha, it's a HUGE deal in this house when we see them walking around. Chucky will only come out after the lights have been off a while and if he gets ANY hint someone is watching him he's gone faster than light.
Sid sits around in plain sight but I very rarely see him walk anywhere.
So yeah, I get where you're coming from, WOOHOO!

my tokays were in a 5x4x2ft wooden viv with my water dragons and they were fantastic in there. could constantly here the thudding of their fat feet on the walls as they ran around. and they alwauys used to hang off the glass.
however i had to rehouse the dragons and that viv, so now they r in a 60 45 45 exo terra. they also have the blue lights and they r fantastic at night, especially with the fogger.
however since going in there and adding a new pair, all is gone quiet. the old girls stay behind the cork, and i havnt yet seen the new cb pair leave their hollow log.
will give em another week to settle in before i worry i think.
