Default Waxworms for baby beardies

My little ones are coming up to 5 months and I have some wax worms coming tmrw. I know they are not for everyday feeding and should be seen as a treat but how many and how often is ok? Also how is best to store them?

Many thanks x

Put them all on a platter and place them in the Viv,
Leave them for a while then remove the remainder, as for storage the tubs they arrive in should keep them for a while, just not in a hot place.

Default hi

hi
i give my leos 1 every uva week cuz as u know they r addictive and i was told there not good for the liver if fed to many but im not sure on that but i do know it has been advised not to give to many

i keep mine in fridge stops them turning into that moth so temp slows them down which i find they live longer and when i take one out i hold it in my hand till it warms up and wiggles abit the i put some dust onit and they wash erm down

Keep a close eye on the beardies afterwards - for some reason waxworms can make some younger dragons vomit. At 5 months old they should be fine with a couple a week, but check the viv later to make sure there isn't any goo or undigested food lying around which would indicate a regurge.

hey,

you shouldn't give your baby's them yet they are too young yet because if you start feeding them wax worms now they will stop eating untill you offer them wax worms and thats sumfink u don't want!!! i no this from pass experience!!!! u should keep them on a stricked diet till they are about 7-8 months old and then u can start introducing treats!

its all preference tbh i think. they arent goood for babies, but i fed mine some at 5 months. He is fine

i fed him 5 (they were the really small ones?) once ever two weeks, or about that!
Putting them in the fridge is goood, but i found just leaving them in a cold room (garage in my case) worked and i just put any leftover sald from beardie in with them and dust etc before feeding to squish!
