i suggest you read this, then take into account the cost of one, food weekly, elec, and then making sure they have the right sized viv.

Hiya Mate
Good advice there from Benjo.
Boscs are awesome but can taake huge amounts of work, you will get loads of info from the Monitor & Tegu thread, there are loads & loads of keepers of Boscs who subscribe to the thread, and you will pick up some very useful info.

awsome cheers guys iv got plenty of space for a masive viv and a laminated floor so free roam in my room is not a problem im spending close 2 30 quid a week on food as is and i will eventualy go to bulk buying of rats and mice i allways have boxes of crikets / meal worms exc from my beardies and leos so the feeding and space isnt an issue i was more worried about the size of the actual animal my snakes are all pretty easy to read but we all no boscs are quite inteligent buggers

Very true they are intelligent, but i have always found that if you pay attention then you will know there body language and know the signs to look out for pretty quickly.

For example, Eddie...when we first got him, if you put your hand anywhere near him he would start walking backwards so that he could get in a good position to attack you... If you managed to get near his tail he would start open his mouth and then literatly curl his body back on his self, so he could bite you.

After a few weeks, and letting him know we aren't going to hurt him, Trust is being built and a lot of his nastiness has gone!!

Build Trust with them, be patient, and RESPECT them.

Hopefully yours wont be so nasty, Eddie has been through a lot, with previous owners.

im still torn between a bosc or an iggy but i do understand that iggys can just flip out and do some serious damage so im more towards the bosc im just gonna keep my eye on classifieds and see what pops up
its sods law that all the ones on there are like 100000 miles away

Hun, I have both bosc's and iggy, i prefer my bosc's they are so much fun...I have cat toys who my girl like to death roll.. But the iggy is pretty laid back!! I am wary of him tho.

Bosc's always seem to need rehoming.

Oh, yeah. I would always suggest rehoming one, and spending the energy and time, earning their trust!
