You will need to specify the type of monitor lizard - there are dozens that vary in price from £20 up to £2000+
Some of the most common ones include bosc (savannah) monitor, nile monitor, dwarf ridge tailed monitor (ackie), white/black throated monitor Others include argus monitor, green tree monitor, emerald monitor, peacock monitor, blue tailed monitor.. the list goes on. They're all different requiring different care and having different values. The value of an animal would also depend on it's age, sex & health - an unhealthy or large bosc / nile monitor for example are quite commonly found in rescues and are often given away free as they have not been looked after correctly or have grown far larger than anticipated.

Hi i think she said it was a bosc monitor.
This is a old pic of it off her facebook if that helps anyone decide what species it is. ![]() sorry for lack of knowledge I only know very basic info at the moment as she was trying to give it away on facebook

Yes, it's a bosc monitor. At that size most pet shops sell them for around £30-50
