TBH unless your house gets very cold at night (less than 60F in the tank) you don't really need a heat source at night. Hope that helps.

You'll be better off having two stats than running off one stat as it will be too much hassel.
Ceramics don't emit light whereas red bulbs do and beardies can see it in the night. As the above poster said, unless your house is very cold, you may not need additional heating. Cheers Tung
