Talking Leucistic cross leucistic/citrus beardie eggs laid today

I Am the proud new surrogate mum to 25 eggs courtesy of Llyssa, my 18 month leucistic x citrus, and Ash, a 2yr old leucistic stud. After very little digging she laid between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm and all eggs look nice and plump currently and are incubating at 84-86 degrees farenheit.

This is the first clutch from this pairing so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all the babies hatch out in 55-70 days or so, but I'll probably be keeping a very close eye on them in the interim and asking for advice should any eggs start looking dodgy.

Awesome! Is this your first time breeding beardeds? And do you have any pictures of the parents? I've always been under the impression that leucistic dragons are quite rare outside of the States?

I can post piccys, tho it will probably be tommorow til I upload them. Ash is a whopping 52 cm and is pretty white with some pastel yellow colouring around his eyes, Llyssa is 47cm and can show strong citrus colouration when full of beans and happy but she's looking a bit tired after the ordeal although it's a good sign that she has munched a few locusts since laying. As Leucistic is a recessive genes only those eggs with leucistic genes from both mum and dad will look white, the other hets will look citrus but carry dad's leucistic gene even though they don't show it, I guess I'll find out when they hatch!! I'm very excited!!

Just checked the new eggies and they're all looking nice and plump and mum has eaten another few locusts (She'll be spoiled rotten until she's built back up)!!

I'll post piccies of mum and dad later.

good on you joannes, hope they are all healthy and hatch nicely, mum and dad sound like a nice size so they should be ok fertility wise but as they say dont count your chickens until theyve hatched.....
