Hey Guys
I have a quick question, whenever I get my Beardie out he sits next to me has a shuffle around then falls asleep, he has been out no longer then 5 minutes, and when I pick him up to move him back into his viv he is colder then normal and falls back to sleep where ever I put him in his viv. Is this normally behaviour? He is just totally chilled out or is something wrong???? Does any one else have the same thing?? ![]() |

How cold's the room you're getting him out into? How old's the beardie? When they're cold they tend to go to sleep - if he's noticeable colder after only being out for a short time, it suggests that your room may be too cold, or he may be too small to be out for long periods of time, and is losing his body heat quickly. |

Sounds like your room is a bit cold and sending him off to sleep. Mine drops off sometimes lying on my lap if im watching tv. They usually start to nod off if the lights are dimmed too, some kind of built in instinct to settle down for bed when it gets a bit darker, thats what the shuffling is before he nods off, he's making himself comfy! Nothing to worry about, if you want him to stay awake longer I sometimes sit mine on a luke warm hot water bottle, she loves it and will sit there watching tv for ages..
