seriously this is RFUK, your lucky you haven't got someone accusing you of neglecting them on purpose. Take people with a grain of salt here, you have a lot of "armchair experts" and internet tough guys, their quick to judge and it'll be harsh, just ignore rude people in your thread and concentrate on asking the helpful ones questions, most want to help just people get a bit snappy or emotional sometimes. A fair few people here run shops and/or rescues so they see a lot of very bad owners day in day out and their quick to shout when they see a lizard that might be ill, even if the owner is trying to sort it out.

it's weird because I KNEW you were a girl, yet I...forgot?

Same about drinking. I sometimes have cocktails for the taste(hypnotiq) but my dad's a mess and it's mainly down to drink. Drinking when depressed=idiot, smoking when you have TB=retarded. Gambling all your money=...ffs just give it me, you may as well be burning it.

I understand that there are alot of people out there that don't look after reptiles well but i'm not one of those, i've got another 10 reptiles which are very healthy, I'm wanting to know alot more about reptiles etc but at the end of the day you don't get to be an expert without help. I just thought that someone else might have had this problem and sorted it just incase the vet doesn't know what to suggest.
But if I was a teenager or a little kid coming on here looking for advice and got accused of mistreating my reptile I would be put off at keeping it! lol

is nicer then saying: "UGH take it to the vets! It's obvious it's sick you idiot, make an appointment right now!!"
most of the time (if not all of the time) I like many others try and answer queries etc politely .... but .... there are times when I can sit here literally screaming your bottom example Joe especially when you read/see examples such as those Freeky posted ~ owners who won't take a sick rep to the vets, owners who complain it costs too much, owners who leave it too late even when it's patently obvious that somethings wrong, owners who'll come up with excuse after excuse as to why they can't get their reps treated .... I've seen good people on this forum (including Freeky) bend over backwards offering lifts to vets, help with vet fee's, offers to rehome, hours spent on the phone and/or pm's etc trying to help only for it all to be rejected out of hand and/or ignored ~ a lot of advise which to be honest is plain and simple common sense ~ it gets downright depressing and frustrating.
not forgetting of course when people do lose once in a while their patience and then find themselves accused of all sorts short of bashing the op with a 2 by 4

off to look for my horse and a ladder

yeah lol tbh this place isn't kid friendly. Quite a few very serious keepers(as in A LOT of years experience and tons of exotics.) who don't have the patience to deal with ameuter mistakes. But we all have to start somewhere. I don't even have any reptiles yet!....yet I've read about 50 care sheets...
