Hi there, its quarter to 10 now, and i have noticed my leo being really quiet recently. He is about 10 weeks old roughly. So for the first time in like a week (had him 3 weeks), i went to pick him up, and he seemed lifeless, he was breathing, he barely opened his eyes, and when i got him and tried to pick him up then, he was super quick. Recently he has not been eating crickets, and he is just on mini mealworms, and was planning on trying hoppers tomorrow (pay day). I have taken a picture of the bottom of him, just to see if anything sees anything unusual. Im really worried, because he looks like he is on his way out, and i have only had him 3 weeks..
Thanks in advanced ![]() |

i agree with james, plus if you have to wait for pay day to be able to buy food its pretty bad and not really fair on the leo, the tail does look very thin so you should have a vet look at it asap and hopefully he will pull through. Good luck

True, it looks very skinny and its tail is supposed to look like a fat juicy grub (which it doesnt) plus mold on the water would suggest something different to just forgetting to refil water in 3 days as there has to be some other foreign agent on or in water to grow mold, take it to a vet ASAP and a fecal test immediately, a site does em for £25 so not too bad, hope your gecko gets better and good luck

I disagree about the food, sometimes i buy worms because they last longer and then treat my beardie with crickets/locust on "pay day" and as he has said he has mini mealworms which is fine, my leo is just eating worms at the mo (mainly coz she doesnt seem to want the crix) so this should be ok

I agree with James ~ that leo seriously needs to see a vet and as soon as possible ~ he is imo badly underweight and his insides do not look healthy.

that poor leo needs to see a vet .I get so angry when reading again and again that people get pets they can not or will not take care of.if you can not afford vet fees you should never have bought the animal in the first place.im sorry i know i am harsh but i am sick and tired of answering to posts like this no the
wonder we have the (cruelty to reptile mobs)baiting at our feet.Daniel please stop his suffering and get him the care he needs beg or borrow just do it |

if i turn my leo over to look at its belly like that then i have to sort of put my thumb across it to stop it wriggling or running off (Hard to explain but im sure you know what i mean lol) Looking at the pic it seems yours is so weak/lifeless that its allowing you to do it flat in your hand

This. Owning ANY animal without being able to care for its every need is irresponsible. The poor thing looks dead already... you should be ashamed!
Get it to someone who can afford a vet if you cant yourself. Where are you based? maybe someone can take it off of you and get it to a vet. |
