Firstly I wouldn't get one from a shop. There are far too many unwanted Boscs out there.

Look at rehoming. There's always some in classifieds.

No need to even get a baby either as they will soon need a bigger viv.

people seem obsessed with insisting people rehome, if somebody wants to go to a shop then surely that should be there choice.

Firstly I didn't insist, I merely put across a bit of well informed advice.

There are too many Boscs out there without good homes. Boscs and Iguanas are the top 2 lizards for not having permanent keepers and so it is an informed and sinsible decision to consider rehoming.

So calm yourself down

I'm perfectly calm. Where did I seemed stressed? If that's your way of dealing with my reply which was perfectly sensible then so be it.

You didn't mention me in your comment but it would not have been made had I and another member merely suggested a logical and caring approach of rehoming a Bosc.

Totally agree with you old mate, too many up for boscys up for rehoming cos people make the wrong decision or have a bosc for their first rep.
Always good to get a rehome for a forever home

in relation to rehoming. lets think about why people opt for a baby rather then rehoming

just a few as to why people choose to get a baby;

-pick which one you want/ selection
-no better feeling then raising an animal from young
-bond with baby from young age
-tame down much easyier
-lets face it thier cute
-adapt to routines from a young age with minimal stress

rehoming is a big commitment, and many people chose to avoid it due to some of the following reasons;

-animal may be very aggressive
-possibly poor health
-no medical history/ records
-bigger chance of animal refusing food
-may have parasites
-limbs missing due to poor care

etc etc

not having a dig at anyone just my 2p
