Default cresties and heating

Hey, i am thinking about turning my clear seal on its side when my cretie gets to adult size. This would mean however, having my red bulb inside the viv. Will this be ok if the bulb is properly protected so the gecko does not jump on it??
Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Thankyou

Tommy
