freeze them? I'm not sure but on a whim I'd freeze them and let them thaw by themselves (no boiling)

What sort of tree are they off? Conifers are apparantly a big no no for reps.

The only way id be able to freeze them tho would be by hoping we have a real cold winter! I cant really chop them as itd be a nightmare getting them to stack safely. the viv is gonna be 4 1/2FT tall and need it to go top to bottom as well as other pieces branching off of it

You'll be fine just soaking them in a bath over night in a few cups of bleach in a half full bath, about 100ml to every 3gallons, difficult to measure in a bath i know. Just use common sense with it and it's fine. Then soak em for a day and them let them dry on the radiator or something for a few days. Its sound to leave the bark on aswell, silver birch would look nice in a viv.

Thats what I was thinking. Im going to have a centrepiece going top to bottom with branches hopefully coming off of it Im just gonna have to find the right piece. Was thinking about trying to plant something up in it if I made a fake bottom to the viv with soil underneath in a lined tub but not sure if itd work. Would be a mare to find a decent safe small tree that wouldnt grow over 4ft
