Question why has my cresty egg done this?

Hi guys, i cant understand why this has happend,i am new to keeping crested geckos in sexed pairs as i have always kept just males or lots of other reps, including some harder speceis so im pretty well experianced with keeping ect ect and have bred leos before with sucsess, my crestie female layed two eggs about 2 months ago just 2 weeks after i bought her at Hamm in september, i got her as part of an adult 2 year old pair, i took these eggs carefully out of there viv not turning the eggs at all and i placed them carefully in a small clean vamiculite filled tub which had all the water squeezed out so it wasnt too damp, i placedtub with a lid on top on a heat mat and the temps were 79-80 farenheight and removed the lid every few days to fan in fresh air for a minute, one crimped up within a week , so i figurd this was possibly a dud but left it in there to one side and the other one stayed nice and full and leathery for 60 days and now three days later than this i notice it has just as of yesterday started to de flate?? it is very slightly beggining to go soft at the sides as if it has lost size and is now a bit baggy, the vermiculite is still damp as i mist it when it starts to go dry, the egg doesnt smell or look moldy or anything, can understand whats happening??? as i was convinced it was fine up unti today, please any help or any info would be great as i was looking forward to getting a baby for these two adult stunners!! any info or advice please guys??

oops!!!! sorry my mistake they were not this high at all they were 72 degrees farenheight, room temp, sorry , any idea why it would suddeny change in apperance like this ?? i havent changed anything at all, whats the best way to breed creties and incubate them ?? would love some babies from my two. my adults are in good condition and are massive, but not fat !!! eat well and are in a nice big viv , she was obviously gravid when i collected her , i got them from Matjas in Hamm, your graham got the leaf tail from him for me last year so his animals are in good nic.

Eggs often start to sweat when they're close to hatching. As the fluid leaks out of the eggs it forms beads on the shell. This will cause the egg to become a little softer (due to a decrease in fluid volume) and the shell may become translucent in places.

Hopefully this is what is happening in your case...

it happens..

its happened to me with a few of mine.. just the way it goes i spose..

sadly also some adults dont seem to produce eggs that go full term and hatch..

its just one of those things in nature..

but it might be a one off.. try again next year .. make sure the female has a proper rest away from the male over winter... so they are both raring to go next season..

Crestie eggs do get a bit wrinkly before they hatch so don't throw it away just yet. Keep it until it goes nasty to be on the safe side.
