Default Silly silly gecko!!

The other night I went into a bit of a panic as I could only find one of my geckos in the viv. I checked all the hides, under the leaves, couldn't see it. Realised she had pushed her way under the kitchen roll and was lying a couple of cms from the front, under the kitchen roll. Just went to get them out to show my sister and nieces who haven't seen them before, and she's done it again. Is she not warm enough or something? Temp is 32C in the warm end, so should be fine. I'm thinking she's just a funny one!

No - I think this is a Leo, right? They will just find a spot which is warm and hidden away. They would go into cracks in the ground / rock in the wild so this is just replicating this behaviour. Are your hides quite large or high or "open" so that daylight gets in? If so then she would probably like a very low, dark hide.

ditto ~ I find if given a choice leos will generally go for the lowest, deepest and smallest hides as opposed to the standard shop bought ones which is why I now make my own.

One's biggish and one's small, so maybe I should try swapping them around and putting the smaller one in the warm end. She hadn't done the hiding under kitchen roll before, has only just started. Will try swapping them around. She might just be the greatest oxymoron of all - an easy to please female!
