Default Your input please.

Hi im just getting inton herps. Got a royal and might get a lizard. I like the look of beardies but only baby ones. Dont like big lizards really.

I dont really know what lizards are available that stay small. Could u help? And pics would be great if you got em.

Thanks.

You could try rankins that are a bit smaller than beardies and don't look quite so imposing with all the spikes and the big black beard.. don't know if that's small enough though

There are quite a few agamas that are the same family but considerabley smaller, the only problem is a lot of the agamas are WC not CB, and I wouldn't recommend a WC lizard as a starter

what about leos or a dwarf gecko? leos are great, tame and good for handling and only get about 6-8 inches in length

Or maybe a collard lizard, google search the name for details and images.
They stay pretty small and are definetely cute.
A bit fiesty possibly but by no means intimidating.

African fat tails make super starter pets, but they are a little more shy and retreating than leos, but a little tamer, not that leos arnt tame !

try a fire agama, they look similar to baby beardies, they cost 15 pound, and are tiny! all you need to house them is a viv and a heat mat

Yeah I'd say leos are brill for starting, stay small and really nice when tame! most of mine come out to the kids now and they are 3, 5 and 11, as long as you keep slowly going into them they'll be in your hands in no time!!
best of luck with whatever you get though, keep us posted!
