Exclamation He's done a Houdini on me

I can't believe it!! My 4 month old Crestie has escaped and i've no idea how he's managed to do it! Came to feed him today and the cage was empty but the door was locked! No other way for him to get out other than through the door so i'm stumped!

Already started searching for him in the flat but no luck yet. Friends are coming round to help out in a minute. Any suggestions for hiding places? I've already turned the living room upside down...... i tell ya, he's going to be in so much trouble when i find him!

Smile Found him!

Panic over..... normal service is now resumed!

I took out all the features in his viv and raked thorugh the cyprus mulch and there he was. He'd burried himself!!! He was completely submerged in it!

Is this normal behaviour? I've never heard of them doing that before.

Thanks for your replies and suggestions

yep mine did this a few times. I did exactly the same thing as you. Though she got out so I removed everything in the tank and found her buried in the one corner. Scared the crap out of me. I have never had an escape and didn't want to be outfoxed by a relatively slow moving crestie.
