Bosc care sheet - UV ?
Hey i was just curious , i was looking at this care sheeet and it said ''Bosc's do not require UV light. Artificial light should be provided to establish definite photo periods that may aid breeding.''
I thought i needed it , So do they or dont they?

as far as i am aware its not proven to help or hinder ( i may be verry wrong ) but i see that alot of people do provide uv to be on the safe side

Once again down to personal choice, I do provide mine UV - but I've never kept one without so I can't really comment on any noticeable effects.
My view is any basking animal would take in UV rays in the wild, and while they might be able to survive without it, fo the little bit of extra cost its most likely worth it.
