Hi everyone! I make vivs at college as part of my course in carpentry and as a hobby, but wanted to know whats the best non toxic materials i can use to make fake backgrounds etc, I made a viv on my page if you have a look also made a rock wall background. I used Polystyrene then carved out a rock wall face, i sealed it using 4 thick layers of Mod podge (non toxic sealent) then used 4 layers of grout to give it a rock rough look, i then painted it using acrylic water based paint then sealed it with 2 thick layers of non toxic sealent, Is this a safe method to use? am i doing it safe this way? Please help ahhhhhh

For my day gecko enclosure i used a piece of egg crate and great stuff insulation. I coated it in silicone and stuck cocofibre to it. It has held up great and only cost 10-20 pounds to make. I used egg crate so that I could remove it. Here is a how-to where they spray the great stuff right into the enclosure but it gives you an idea of the basic install.
