Default Vet Fees...

Rio the WD has a developed a twitch/spasm in his tail over the past few weeks - been reading up on this and it could be a few things. I've decided enough is enough - he needs to be checked out properly.

Taking him to the vet tomorrow for a once over and give him any treatment he needs. Anyone here had any similar problems and know how much this kind of visit will cost?

Have no idea, we have an account at our vets and everything gets added to that.

Don't forget the price they quoted was only for the consultation, treatment may bum the price up, depending on what it is.

How much does everyone pay for a fecal exam?
Went with a sample tonight and it was £14....
Remember being on an American forum and some were paying like $5 each

Not as bad as I thought...

Consultation was £40, but I'm waiting for a call now to find out if there's actually anything wrong with him.

I took my wd, Darwin to the vet the other week. It was 14 pound for the consultation and 40 pound for the fecal sample to be looked at and 2 pound for his medicine.

Finally got the call-back from the vet... Rio seems to be in good health but has some sort of infection which will be treated once the blood samples have come back.

So far it's cost me £40 for consultation and £70 for the blood tests. It would have been another £100 for an x-ray, but the vet advised me it wasn't really necessary.

One bit of news that shocked me... Rio is no longer a he... Rio is now a she!!
